Pop Musician Aaron Carter Also Suffers from Addiction

It’s no mystery that Hollywood and the famous stars that inhabit the upper echelon of stardom have faced an alarmingly high number of addictions. This seems to be especially true for musicians and actors who have grown up in the spotlight. Aaron Carter is no exception.

Aaron Carter jumped into the spotlight when he was young. First because of his older brother, Nick Carter, the favored member of the 1990s boy band Backstreet Boys. But Aaron Carter quickly established a name for himself as his own kind of pop personality.

Aaron Carter’s music career started with a self-titled album, but he was well known for his hit album, “Aaron’s Party” that featured songs such as “I Want Candy,” “Aaron’s Party (Come and Get it),” and “That’s How I Beat Shaq.” Once his popularity dwindled, the controversies started to rise. From a bankruptcy to marijuana being found in his car.

Just very recently, Aaron Carter came out about his addiction to cosmetic surgery and said that he is struggling with painkillers. This is from a Daily Mail article about Aaron Carter’s involvement with a show called, “The Doctors.” Aaron Carter admits that he frequently visits the dermatologist because it makes him happy. Plus, he admits he takes plenty of painkillers, but also says that he doesn’t want to be on them anymore.

The most alarming quote from the interview is, “And I just want to get better.”

There has been a lot of public worry for Aaron Carter’s future. But it doesn’t have to be that way. There is help out there available if he’s looking for it. Including somewhere like Chapters Capistrano. But there are also plenty of other places that can help someone through a painkillers addiction. He is far from the only person suffering from this kind of addiction, and help can be just a phone call away.
