Hydrocodone/Norco Addiction and Treatment

The Hydrocodone addiction recovery program at Chapters Capistrano is dedicated to treating addicts with personalized treatment programs. We recognize that no addict is affected the same, so no program should be the same.

General Information

The naturally-occurring opiates codeine and thebaine are often manufactured to form the synthetic opioid Hydrocodone. When the drug is combined with other non-opioid compounds such as Norco, also known as acetaminophen, serious psychological and physical dependence can occur.

At times, doctors effectively prescribe Hydrocodone and Norco, central nervous system depressants, for pain relief. However, when not under a doctor’s care, using these drugs can very dangerous.

Effects of Hydrocodone/Norco Abuse

If using Hydrocodone and Norco for prolonged time periods, physical and mental health problems may include, but are not limited to, dizziness, itching, drowsiness, lightheadedness, nausea, vomiting, and sweating. When an abuser develops a dependency, an increased dosage will be necessary for the desired effect. Also, mixing Hydrocodone with alcohol, benzodiazepines, cocaine, or other medications can be fatal. Some adverse reactions are heart failure, heart attack, respiratory distress, and liver or kidney failure.

Hydrocodone/Norco Detoxification Doesn’t Have To Be Painful

Our addiction experts at Chapters Capistrano are here to make detoxification as comfortable as possible. We do not want the fear of withdrawal to stop an addict from seeking treatment! We use the safest, most traditional drug-specific detox program. Our clients take prescription medication under medical supervision, in tapering amounts, in order to lower the risk of seizure and ease withdrawal symptoms until the body is stabilized.

Chapters drug and alcohol rehab center is committed to helping addicts return to drug-free life! Call our 24-hour helpline for more information about Hydrocodone addiction recovery. Call us at 949-371-4198 today!
