Suboxone Addiction and Treatment

The Chapters Capistrano Suboxone addiction recovery program in Southern California is celebrated for its individualized treatment plans that cater to the specific needs of each client. Our addiction experts understand no Suboxone abuser is the same, so no recovery plan should be identical. Our goal is freedom from drug dependency!

General Information

Suboxone is the brand name for Buprenorphine with Naloxone. The drug is a semi-synthetic opioid used to treat opioid addiction. Buprenorphine can be used recreationally by insufflation to achieve a euphoric high. Sometimes, addicts may use the drug to reduce symptoms while withdrawing from other opioids.

Effects of Suboxone Use

Side effects from abusing Suboxone recreationally include dizziness, nausea, and memory loss. At times, addicts have contracted hepatitis with jaundice and hepatic necrosis after injecting the drug. If taken in combination with depressants and/or alcohol, the result can be fatal. Using Suboxone or any Buprenorphine-related drug to ease opioid withdrawal symptoms should only occur under medical supervision. Suboxone abuse can negatively affect all aspects of the abuser’s life.

Suboxone Detoxification Withdrawal Doesn’t Have to be Painful

The Chapters drug and alcohol rehab center team understands that the process of Suboxone withdrawal can cause great anxiety. Because we do not want any addict to avoid necessary rehabilitation, we are committed to using the safest, most traditional form of withdrawal—a drug-specific drug detox. Clients are given mild prescription medication in order to help lessen the risk of seizure and ease symptoms associated with withdrawal. The medical staff will monitor the client and continue such treatment in tapering amounts until the body is stabilized.

The Suboxone drug rehab program knows how challenging recovery can be, and therefore employs the most effective programming to guid addicts back to a drug-free life. Don’t hesitate! Call Chapters today  at 949-371-4198.
